Challenge questions

When does the challenge start?
The moment you create your account. The fourteen days run from the day you sign up, so there is nothing to enroll in and nothing to click. If you are already writing, you have already begun.
What counts toward the 10,000 words?
Words you write in your manuscript. Pasted text is not counted, because the challenge is about building the habit rather than moving a manuscript across. Character profiles, lore, and story notes are valuable work, but only manuscript words count toward the total.
Do I have to write every day?
No. You need five writing days inside the two weeks, not fourteen. The spacing is deliberate, because a habit you can keep matters more than a sprint you cannot repeat.
What happens if I do not finish?
Nothing at all. Your free Inkling account stays exactly as it is, and every word you wrote stays yours. There is no penalty for a story that took longer to find its footing.
Do I need a credit card?
No. Inkling is free forever and the challenge runs on it. If you finish, the free month of Storyteller is applied to your account.
