Privacy Policy

Your stories, your characters, and your worlds will always belong to you.

Effective Date: June 2, 2026

To all the writers who trust Inkwell with your work,

We know what your work costs you. The late nights, the self-doubt, the draft you scrapped and started over. We know because we are writers too, and we have lived it.

That is exactly why we built Inkwell the way we did. Your stories, your characters, the worlds you have spent years inside, they are personal. They are private. They carry the weight of everything you poured into them. We will never cheapen that sacrifice by letting your work leak, be shared, be sold, or be fed into an AI model.

This is not just a legal promise. It is a personal one, from people who understand what it means to put your whole self into a page. We built the platform we wished had always existed. We built it for you, because we are you.

2. Our Commitment: Your Writing Stays Yours

Inkwell will never use your content (your stories, characters, world-building notes, or any other creative work) to train, fine-tune, or otherwise improve AI models of any kind.

Your creative work is deeply personal. The worlds you build, the characters you develop, and the stories you tell belong entirely to you. We believe that a writing platform can only be a true sanctuary if you have complete confidence that your work is not being exploited for purposes beyond your own creative process.

This commitment covers all content you create or upload within the Service, including:

  • Manuscripts, drafts, and written documents
  • Character profiles and development notes
  • World-building lore, maps, and codex entries
  • Plot outlines, timelines, and narrative structures
  • Any other creative or personal content stored in your account

We may use aggregate, anonymized, and non-identifiable usage data (such as feature engagement metrics) to improve the Service experience, but this data cannot be traced back to you or your content.
